A Hercules resident died aft he was swept retired to oversea astatine Point Reyes National Seashore, The coroner’s agency said Wednesday.

A witnesser saw Richard Norio Sumi, 73, sportfishing astatine South Beach earlier a rogue activity struck him and took him retired to oversea astir 9 am. Saturday, The Marin County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The National Park Service, The sheriff’s office, and The U.S. Coast Guard searched for Sumi. He was recovered floating in The h2o much than 40 minutes aft The incident. Paramedics recovered him in cardiopulmonary apprehension and pinch nary signs of life.

The National Park Service and Marin County sheriff’s investigators are still reviewing The case.
